The 2008 Skier's Edge Eastern Regional Championships were held at Whiteface Mountain, NY on Mar. 6-9. The regional championships are a 3-discipline SG/GS/SL event.
All events races will be on Draper's Drop, with the SG starting on Thruway. To make the most of this venue, two SG's are scheduled, with the first counted as the Eastern Region championship SG, and a SL will follow the championship race. SG training will be held on Thursday.
Post-race social events in Lake Placid will include opportunities to ride the bobsled, see an ice show, and see the sights in the Olympic Village.
You must have a current USSA Masters competition license to compete in regional and national championship events (no temporary weekend licenses).
After two SG races on Friday, both of which count in the 2008 National Speed Series, the weekend GS and SL races unfortunately had to be cancelled due to weather. The Eastern Region champion in each age group was named based on the results Friday's championship SG (the first of two).
