The 2020 US Ski & Snowboard Alpine Masters National Speed Series, sponsored by Phillips 66, consists a series of 22 SG and DH speed events, with races held in six divisions (PNSA, Far West, Intermountain, Rocky, Central, and Eastern). The series concludes with the finals at Mt Bachelor OR in April.
The Phillips 66 Speed Series champion trophies are awarded to the overall fastest racer in each of three groups, based on the total points in all races of the series:
Congratulations to the 2020 Speed Series champions: Stephen Barton (M01, RM), Pierre Jeangirard (M09, FW), and Lauren Beckos (W02, RM).
Custom belt buckles are awarded to the top three finishers in each age class of the season-long series.
Entry information for NSS events can be found on the host division web site or by contacting the host area. (Click on the host division name in the table below to go to the division web site) Race announcements and information are also posted here when available.
With the rapid spread of COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the US during March, as the virus spread from Asia and Europe to global scale, all US Ski & Snowboard events from mid-March through the end of the 2019-2020 season have been cancelled. By late March, many states throughout the United States have instituted strict public health regulations to attempt to limit the spread of the virus that could overwhelm our medical system. While we are all sad about the abrupt termination of our ski racing season, we can look forward to next season. Stay home, stay safe, and we hope to see everyone back for 2021.
