The 2009 USSA Alpine Masters National Speed Series, sponsored by Molecule F, consists a series of 11 9 SG and DH speed events, with races held in six divisions (Far West, Intermountain, Rocky, PNSA, Northern, and Eastern). The series concludes with the finals at the National Championships in Sunday River in March.
The Molecule F Speed Series champion trophies are awarded to the overall fastest racer in each of three groups, based on the total points in all races of the series:
Congratulations to the 2009 Speed Series champions: Erik Klemme (M06, RM), Rauli Karjalainen (M08, IM), and Jennifer Kaufman (W03, RM).
Custom belt buckles are awarded to the top three finishers in each age class of the season-long series.

Schedule Notes Following the loss of the scheduled events at Mammoth and Soldier Mountain from the original February schedule due to too much and too little snow, respectively, the series organizers agreed to add two DH races at Mammoth the last week of February to the NSS schedule. One of those was lost due to weather cancellation, but the second makeup race was successfully held on the final day of the DH week event.
